Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 tablespoon white sugar
  • 2 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add melted butter, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place on a greased baking sheet.
  7. Cover and let the rolls rise for another 20-30 minutes until doubled in size.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
