- 1 cup Crab Meat fresh or canned
- 1 cup Crab Roe
- 1 stick Butter
- 1 cup All-purpose Flour
- 4 cups Milk
- 2 cups Heavy Cream
- 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat.
Whisk in the flour to make a roux, cooking for about 2 minutes.
Gradually add the milk and heavy cream, whisking constantly until smooth.
Add the crab meat and crab roe, stirring gently to combine.
Season with salt, black pepper, and Old Bay seasoning.
Simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened and heated through.
Serve hot, garnished with additional crab meat or fresh herbs if desired.
