Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked quinoa
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • ½ cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg beaten
  • ½ cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil for cooking

Instructions 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, mash the black beans with a fork until mostly smooth.
  2. Add the cooked quinoa, bread crumbs, beaten egg, chopped onion, ground cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and heated through.
  5. Serve the quinoa black bean burgers on buns with your favorite toppings.
