Main Ingredients
- 1 cup cooked quinoa
- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- ½ cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg beaten
- ½ cup finely chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoon olive oil for cooking
In a large mixing bowl, mash the black beans with a fork until mostly smooth.
Add the cooked quinoa, bread crumbs, beaten egg, chopped onion, ground cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Form the mixture into 4 patties.
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and heated through.
Serve the quinoa black bean burgers on buns with your favorite toppings.
