Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread cut into cubes
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Topping

  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup butter cold, cut into pieces

Instructions 

  1. 1. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Place the bread cubes in the dish.
  2. 2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla. Pour evenly over the bread.
  3. 3. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  4. 4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a small bowl, mix together flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over the bread mixture.
  5. 5. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the center is set. Serve warm.
