Ingredients

  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon Ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground cinnamon

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until combined.
  2. In a saucepan, heat the milk and cream over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
  3. Slowly add the hot milk mixture to the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
  4. Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator before serving.
