Meat Sauce
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup water
1. In a saucepan, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the beef. Cook until the onion is translucent.
3. Stir in the tomato sauce, chili powder, ground cumin, salt, black pepper, and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. While the sauce is simmering, grill the hot dogs until heated through and slightly charred.
5. Place the hot dogs in the buns and top with the meat sauce. Serve immediately.
