Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 28 oz canned tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions 

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until soft.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Pour in the milk and let it simmer until mostly evaporated.
  5. Add the red wine and let it simmer until mostly evaporated.
  6. Add the canned tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  7. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
